Strange (but funny) Phobias...
69Phobias are like opinions; everybody has at least one. I have three:
- Boogers (any type of nasal/oral musus) - Blennophobia
- June Bugs - Entophobia
- Clowns - Coulrophobia
In that order, and each one has a story. Every day, people around the world deal with all sorts of strange and sometimes life-inhibiting phobias. The symptoms often include: anxiety, shortness of breath, increased heart rate, nausea, and so on. Below you will find a list of 50 different phobias in no particular order; some common, uncommon, and just downright funny. Which one belongs to you?

A really ironic way to express 'the fear of words' is (basically) an elongation of Sesquipedalophobia is HIPPOPOTOMONSTROSESQUIPEDALOPHOBIA.The ironic part about it is that it's the longest word in the English dictionary. I just thought it was funny... Enjoy! :D

I'm afraid of things that camouflage. I'm afraid that there are things hidden everywhere I can't see, and they blend into what I'm used to. Like there are dangerous things hiding and blending into the places I consider safe, for instance my bedroom. That's the best that I can explain it.
No, I'm not afraid of people wearing camouflage clothing. It isn't the same thing. However, I do not like to wear it. And on a subconscious level, I sometimes find it difficult to trust people who wear it. As if they are communicating to me by dressing that way that they have a reason to hide.
I have Hydro-arachni-heightaphobia.....the fear of falling of really tall spiders into water

Sam - that is actually the fear of homeless people, but there is also "Proctophobia" for the fear of the other kind of bum! :)
i have really bad emetophobia (the fear of vomiting) once in the car, my cousin threw up and as i was sitting next to her a tried to open the door and jump out. the car was stiil moving, at about 60 mph.

I think the fear of money means people are fearful of handling money because it's really dirty. I seen bills so grimy it made you want to wash your hands right away.

Its not funny for the sufferer tho, I guess some are easier to avoid than others mind you.

Haphephobia or Haptephobia- Fear of being touched.
Arachnephobia or Arachnophobia- Fear of spiders.
Cleithrophobia or Cleisiophobia- Fear of being locked in an enclosed place
And my friend has:
Automysophobia- Fear of being dirty.
Bibliophobia- Fear of books.
Autophobia- Fear of being alone or of oneself

Yes, the fear of constipation is actually called Coprastasophobia, which appears to be the exact opposite of Defecaloesiophobia!

I have the fear of being late, fear of clowns, fear of waterbugs, fear of zombies (even though i love them so much!), fear of being hated, fear of wild hogs, fear of speaking in public, fear of blood, fear of birds, fear of being alone, fear of wanting something i know i'll never have :D *shrugs* i have many fears thank goodness for friends!! they help me alot it would be wierd to fear that duck thing

Happy LATE birthday G.G :) I think that Cypridophobia is a pretty funny one, The fear of prostitutes! Also geniophobia, a fear of chins(: I have yet to meet anyone with either of these phobias, but one that I have realized is very common is Agoraphobia, Which is the fear of leaving a safe place, fear of being in large open spaces, and alot of times patients with Agoraphobia also have a fear of Panic attacks, or a panic disorder.

Doesn't all this seem funny? Like, really. It almost sounds like people are coming up with excuses for everyday life, hahahaha. A fear of full stops? What is that? You can't take your foot off the gas? So, if you hit a child when driving you think your phobia of full stops is gonna be used as an excuse in court?

To shayla it's called aichurophobia I no because I have it. When I went to the hospital they had to inject me with a sleep drug but I went unconscious at the sight of the needle but it saved the dr's a lot of time.
