I used to love talking about myself…back when I was younger, (more) self-centered and boasted an impressive list of achievements and awards…And as time passed and high school became college, and then the student became the alumnus, and I was suddenly sacrificing precious hours to “the real world”, I found that people no longer cared that I was the Treasurer of the National Honor Society and earned 15 college credits while still in high school, that I held my first “job” at age 12, and so on. So now, at 23 years of age (feels like 40), I no longer count my accomplishments in back pats or scholarships, but in celebratory visits to Coldstone Creamery and mid-day naps. I am an Advertising Account Executive and freelance writer from Michigan. I love stand-up comedy and puppies, and absolutely loathe boogers and dog farts.
